c. A better understanding of YOURSELF!

There are more than 6 billion people in the world today. Each one of them has to eat and sleep. We are all humans and we are all very much alike in many ways. Yet each of us has different values beyond eating and sleeping. What is your role in the world? How do you fit into all of this? World Regional Geography is the study of people and their environment. We study World Regional Geography not only to open our minds, but also to take a fresh look at ourselves. You can learn a lot about yourself by studying those around you. This course is structured in such a way that we will finish up by taking a close look at the region of North America (specifically the Great Lakes area) and placing it in context with all of the other regions we will have discussed by then.
